The "Funaro" winery began in 2003, when they decided to enhance the grapes grown in the family's vineyards for three generations, engaging themselves in the production activity and surrounding themselves with motivated and competent collaborators who make up the current team of the Funaro winery. . The company is based in the province of Trapani, between Santa Ninfa and Salemi. It covers an area of 85 hectares; mostly vineyards but the company is also dedicated to the cultivation of olives. |

In 2011, both the farm and the winery obtained the "Bio" certification. All the company's land is cultivated with modern and traditional organic farming methods; organic fertilizers (free of heavy metals) and legume green manure are used for plant nutrition; for the defense no synthetic chemicals are used but only modern products with a low content of copper, sulfur, natural clays (kaolin, bentonite, zeolite, etc.) and resistance inducers; finally, to rebalance the natural ecosystem, ecological compensation areas are created and maintained.
The cultivated varieties are all native such as Inzolia, Catarratto, Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d'Avola and Perricone, also flanked by Chardonnay, Muller Thurgau, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.
